Ancient castles had plenty of soldiers to protect its kings and queens. They formed the backbone of the kingdom and were ever ready to fight for the king. But what if there is only one soldier remaining? What if you are that soldier trying to escape the castle because it is not safe anymore?
GAME PLAY
The DARK CASTLE ESCAPE is an exciting and fun game in the puzzle section of TIMEOUT. This game can be played both on mobile as well as computer. This is not like the other ‘Escape’ games where you have to search clues to escape a room, but more of an Arcade type game. The game is about a lone soldier, inside a dark castle and who is trying to escape the castle and get out.
The game begins with the soldier standing at the hallway of a dark castle and when you click, the soldier starts moving forward.
CATCH THOSE STARS
The game requires you to collect stars as you move forward. Collecting these stars, earn you “Star-points” that is seen on the “Star counter” at the top. Though it may seem easy to collect them, it’s not always so, because the stars are in the middle and you have to jump to collect them. You need to jump at the right time so that you collect the stars while on the move.
Also, there are chances of losing some stars while jumping and it might not be possible to collect the whole set.
BEWARE OF SPIKES
You are a soldier, so jumping is easy right?
Think again!
You have to also leap over obstacles such as stone blocks, spikes and rotating blades while escaping the castle. These obstacles slow you down and even prevents you from collecting each star. The stone blocks and spikes are present on the floor as well as on the ceiling of the hallway. The rotating blades are in the middle of the hallway. To continue the escape game, you have to jump over these obstacles without falling on or touching them. Every time you fall on or touch any of the obstacles, the energy counter on the top left-most side, reduces and the game gets over once it is empty.
You have to jump to save time also. If you move slowly, you get hit by the screen that acts as a wall and the game has to be replayed. However, the stars collected remains same and the energy counter gets refilled.
STORY
We have heard of stories and legends of brave warriors and soldiers who have fought for their countries. They escaped from dangerous places to protect their nations.
Play this game to enjoy helping the soldier to escape the dark castle and be a soldier yourself.
P.S As you run and collect stars, pop-up badges showing GOOD JOB, COMBO and RUNNER appears on screen, for collecting set of stars and running without hitting obstacles. You can also click continuously to keep the soldier in the air.
